Daniel Norell is a Swedish architect, co-founder of Norell/Rodhe in Stockholm, and Senior Lecturer at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. His research, pursued through theoretical inquiry as well as through design and practice, centers on architectural representation and its role in the conception and production of architecture. The research, often undertaken in collaboration with Einar Rodhe, has been presented at conferences and published in journals and edited volumes. It has been featured in exhibitions at Aedes Architecture Forum, ArkDes, Bildmuseet, the Bruges Triennial, Färgfabriken, the Oslo Architecture Triennale, the Venice Architecture Biennale, and at the Yale School of Architecture. Recent research projects include Interiors Matter, funded by the Swedish Research Council, 2019–2024. He has lectured widely and have previously taught at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Porto Academy, and at the Städelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt, and is currently co-directing the Before and after building master's studio at Chalmers. He holds a PhD in Architecture from Chalmers, and MArch degrees from University of California Los Angeles and KTH.
